We started CIGARBITCH.COM 3 years ago with a small vision and purpose to enlighten, educate and guide cigar enthusiasts and smokers to take a second look and perhaps change their perception of the smaller boutique cigar company that produces their own line of exclusive cigars. That's not to say that the giant manufacturers and legendary growers in this industry are resting on their laurels. Far from it, they continue to excel and create great tasting innovative cigars....Its just that we feel that there are a number of smaller semi undiscovered companies that blend time honored traditional techniques with some of today's new technology to introduce extraordinary  new lines of cigars that have well aged blends, interesting flavors, intoxicating aromas, and unique tastes that give each line they produce their own distinctive and signature taste.

A great cigar is a marriage of many components...people, seed, soil, climate, aging, and craftsmanship. The most important component for cigar manufacturers (regardless of how big or small they are) in producing consistent cigars in my opinion is its people. Manufacturing cigars is a painstaking and tedious detailed oriented process that requires time and patience. It is the individuals that work for these companies who have extreme patience, dedication, knowledge, expertise and pay special attention to every detail at all levels that make a cigar special and unique.

We have changed the name of our store to THE ST AUGUSTINE TOBACCO COMPANY. The name change came about for several reasons. One we wanted not only to reflect out historic connection with Saint Augustine and its tobacco history but we wanted to change and expand our line of cigars. With Florida's rich history in cigars it is our goal to become your FLORIDA CONNECTION for hand rolled cigars. We are now incorporating several new cigar lines from smaller companies in Florida. Innovative fresh new cigars lines, many of which are hand rolled right here in Florida from Ybor City, Little Havana in Miami, and Saint Petersburg. We are also expanding our cigar line to include many of the top name manufacturers such as Romeo Y Julieta, Macanudo, Rocky Patel and Monticristo just to name a few. We already have a romance with the great standards in the cigar industry but are very excited about diversifying our line of boutique cigars from these smaller Florida based companies. Everybody's talking about the next big thing in cigar industry. Who knows...perhaps one of these smaller companies has what it takes to be the next La Gloria Cubana, Macanudo, or Rocky Patel.

It has been our passion, pleasure and dedication to this industry to help expand the knowledge of cigars in general as well as the other tobacco related products we represent and sell. We try to keep our format simple, direct, informative and fun to read. Because the more knowledge you have about cigars...the more fun the journey of discovering them will be.
